Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa – Phuket, Thailand

Location
Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa is located right near Karon Beach and offers great views of the sandy beach. It is set in 75 acres of tropical gardens. The hotel grounds are huge with lots of walking available within the hotel resort.

There are some restaurants nearby but the main shops etc. are accessible using the local Tuk Tuks (taxi’s) As with a lot of hotels resorts, there are hills to walk so a great excuse to get your exercise in.

This is a well-known hotel so if you don’t have transfers (which you should have – We booked ours with phuketshuttle.com) taxis will be able to locate this resort without any issues from the airport.
The beach is accessible from the hotel itself.

Amenities
This hotel offers all the usual amenities you would expect from a 5* hotel. It also boasts an outdoor pools. There are good restaurants that serve great. Parking is also available free for guests. The Main lobby has an outside relaxation lounge with full bar access. This had a very welcoming feel to it and we were able to unwind, relax after a long day. There is free childcare available with lots for them to do. The staff there were amazing. We kept our child there during the day on a number of occasions as he loved it.

Rooms were clean (as is in most Thailand hotels, they did not have that modern luxury feel) but they did have the Thailand culture feel which is fine. We went for the mid-range room but there were upgraded ones available.

Value For Money
For a 5 night stay (Bed & Breakfast) we paid £440 for 2 adults & 1 child in a Double Deluxe Garden View room.
This was well worth the price and we think offers exceptional value for money. Breakfast was good and had a wide selection of options for all food types.

Service / Staff
The service we received was absolutely amazing. EVERY encounter we had with staff from check in, all the way to leaving was exceptional. This included the reception, room staff, restaurant staff, bar staff and hotel workers in general.

Unfortunately our child had a medical emergency where a thorn suddenly was sticking out of his toe. It turns out, it was there before we arrived but due to him having a soft foot massage, brought the thorn out of his toe half way. This was at 1am in the morning when we realised. The on call doctor had left before this so we called reception to check our options and this is where the service absolutely amazed us. The hotel Reception Manager came up to our room immediately and explained the situation. They advised us to go to hospital (they recommended a good private, value for money one) they told us to get our things ready and they will have their private driver waiting for us at reception to take us.

We were quite anxious at this point but the Manager reassured us everything will be OK. The driver would take us to the hospital and stay outside waiting for us.. No matter how long it took. We were in the hospital for an hour or so and the driver even came in to check we were all OK and to tell us he’ll be there when we get out. Once we were finished at the hospital, the driver brought us back to the hotel and the staff there ensured we were all OK. We even received a fruit basket the next day whilst we were having lunch outside.

All in all, the service was absolutely exceptional and we cannot wait to go back.

Lastly – Would we go back
YES of course!! Everything about this hotel made our holiday memorable. We hope to go back when lifestyle permits!
